Torisho-sai X Shinshu-Sake

  • Dim Dining 7 Vrijdagmarkt Antwerpen, Vlaanderen, 2000 Belgium (kaart)

On Thursday, May 14th (public holiday), we invited guests to a special closing event at DIM Dining, a final moment to gather around fire and sake.

What started as a spontaneous idea turned into an unforgettable afternoon with more than 150 guests joining us around the Konro grills for yakitori, sake and Japanese craftsmanship.

For this occasion, we welcomed Torisho ZEN from Osaka and Torisho SAI from Kyoto, two yakitori restaurants from Japan, with Torisho SAI featured in the Michelin Guide Japan.

For one day only, they travelled all the way from Osaka & Kyoto to Antwerp.

The yakitori experience was led by Karin Yakumaru (Executive Chef, Torisho ZEN), supported by Kim Seunghwan (Sous Chef, Torisho SAI), bringing their specialized craftsmanship directly from Japan.

Earlier that year, they had visited Belgium to explore opportunities within the restaurant industry. Through our natural personal connection, combined with their plans to open a yakitori restaurant here, this collaboration felt like a true full-circle moment, where one chapter ended and another began.

The experience

Jonas opened the DIM Dining sake cellar one last time, sharing a selection of rare sake bottles he had hand-picked and brought back from Japan. A unique opportunity to taste these hidden finds alongside this final collaboration.

Included

  • 5 yakitori bites (live grilled, served in waves)

  • 1 glass of exclusive premium sake, cold or warm

  • Access to a final and exclusive bottle selection

Additional sake was available by the glass or bottle, thoughtfully paired with the yakitori experience.

With three fully booked sessions and over 150 guests throughout the day, the atmosphere turned into exactly what we hoped for: a relaxed gathering centered around fire, sake and craftsmanship.

A final gathering around fire and sake.
